Andrea Dinan
Canadian Pet Care Professionals
Founder of Toronto's City Dogs Training & Behaviour and a leading voice with the Canadian Pet Care Professionals, Andrea has spent her career championing humane, evidence-based standards across Canada's pet care industry. She's a CPDT-KA, Fear Free Certified Trainer, Licensed Family Dog Mediator, and Kids Around Dogs Professional who has completed the Master Course in Dog Aggression. Beyond her training practice, Andrea mentors emerging professionals through EduCanine and the Animal Behavior College, and founded the Dogs and the City Conference — bringing world-renowned educators like Michael Shikashio and Kim Brophey to Canadian audiences. Her Ottawa session focuses on the behaviour side of grooming: reading dogs accurately, reducing stress on the table, and building safer, more sustainable careers for the humans behind the shears.

Erika Godwin

Co-founder of Canadian Pet Care Professionals and a driving force behind Canada's growing movement to professionalize the pet care industry. Based in Ottawa, Erika has spent over a decade supporting pet care business owners as co-founder of ProPet Software and owner of Barketing Solutions — helping groomers, walkers, sitters, and daycare operators run stronger, more sustainable businesses. She's a sought-after speaker, a regular contributor to PSI Magazine, and a frequent guest on industry podcasts and webinars. Her Ottawa session focuses on what it takes to be recognized as a qualified, insured, and verified pet care pro — and how CPCP membership helps groomers stand out, connect with peers, and raise the bar for the industry nationwide.

The Teddy Bear Head
with Wynne Wong · Friday Oct 24 · 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
A hands-on workshop dedicated to mastering the iconic teddy bear head. Wynne walks through structure, eye-setting, muzzle shape, and the round, soft silhouette that clients love. Learn how to read the dog's face, balance the cheeks and crown, and use scissor and comb work to create a clean, symmetrical finish that holds up between grooms. Workshop materials are included. Scissors and a spray bottle are required by participants. Class limited to 25.
Scissoring Foundations: Control, Shape and Finish
with Wynne Wong · Saturday Oct 24 · 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
A foundational scissoring workshop for groomers who want sharper, more confident finishes. Wynne breaks down hand position, body mechanics, blade control, and how to set planes and angles that flatter the dog. Expect practical drills on straight lines, curves, and blending — the building blocks behind every polished pet trim and competition finish. Workshop materials are included.
